SABOTAGE ReAction Figures from Super7
FIRST the music video...
The track "Sabotage" is the first single from Beastie Boys' 4th studio album "Ill Communication", released in 1994. The MV featured above was directed by Spike Jonze, and is a homage-to / parody-of 1970s American crime drama shows. "The video is presented as the opening credits of a fictional 1970s-style police show called Sabotage, with the band members appearing as the show's protagonists. Each band member is introduced as a fictional actor, and the names of the characters are also given." (Wikipedia)
Vic Colfari as Bobby, "The Rookie" (played by Ad-Rock)
Alasondro Alegré as "The Chief" (played by Mike D)
The characters listed featured the members of Beastie Boys themselves, and have been since made TOY by Super7! "Beastie Boys ReAction Figures" are available for PRESALE now on super7.com, with each blister carded 3.75" tall ReAction Figure priced at US$20 per, and a Set of 3 option for US$60 (all prices exclude shipping). Estimated Shipping: "Early-September 2022".
Look, we don't get a hell lot of official Beastie Boys toys (Count on one finger ~ duh), so this is pretty awesome memorabilia, was far as I am concerned. And if they ever expand to more MV-personas (Intergalactic, Fight For Your Right) = MORE AWESOME!
