#WHATSINTHEBOXSG: "Star Runner" & Movie Licensed 1/6 Fighter Figures
"WHAT'S IN THE BOX" is a new serial series where I take a look at my toy-boxes from decades back, more likely 1/6th-scale figure-boxes, some still with original contents inside, most used as vessels to hold other toys... Let's dive in, shall we?
According to Wikipedia, "Star Runner (少年阿虎), (also known in the United States as The Kumite), is a 2003 Hong Kong action/romance film co-written and directed by Daniel Lee. It is rated PG-13 by the MPAA "for intense sequences of martial arts action violence"."
The feature stars Vanness Wu, Gordon Liu and actress Kim Hyun-Joo from South Korea (2021's Hellbound on Netflix)!
I have zero recollection of this feature, but I do remember Vaness Wu and even bought his 1/6th figure from this series too! But more on that in another WHATSINTHEBOX-feature, cheers.
