"WHAT'S IN THE BOX" is a new serial series where I take a look at my toy-boxes from decades back, more likely 1/6th-scale figure-boxes, some still with original contents inside, most used as vessels to hold other toys... Let's dive in, shall we?
"A Step into the Past" is a 2001 Hong Kong television series produced by TVB and based on Huang Yi's novel of the same Chinese title. The series tells the story of a 21st-century Hong Kong VIPPU officer who travels back in time to the Warring States period of ancient China. He is involved in a number of important historical events that leads to the first unification of China under the Qin dynasty. The series' first original broadcast ran from 15 October to 7 December 2001 on the TVB Jade network in Hong Kong. (Wiki)
I have zero recollection of the TVB Series, or even watching it, to be honest, and more likely was hoarding "period"-styled 1/6th-scaled character figures? Or simply for a "Louis Khoo" head sculpt...? I'll need to see if I ever excavate this character figure to begin with LOL (Above box image via worthpoint.comworthpoint.com)
A film sequel to the TVB series, titled "Back to the Past", is currently in post-production. Will we see new 1/6th-scaled figures for this?
