a movie in 2D
the ever trusty superherohype had just posted screenshots of storyboards of the X-Men 3 sneak preview that is available on the soon-to-be-released Fantastic Four DVD! (which is an added bonus for me, 'coz i've yet to see the movie! *urgh* :p)
quite "exciting" really, to see "work in progress" (regardless of mediums) of the highly anticipated X-men franchise movie (or any other movie) to come ... altho it would be great if they had a videolog (ala: Superman Returns and/or KingKong) but of coz im greedy and impatient *heh*
... but as sure as we can gain access to complete storyboards, we'd be able to "animate" it to a certain degree and thereby be able to "view" the entire (*ahem*) "movie" in sequence, innit? ... of coz i is dreamin' alla these lah *muahahahaha* ;p
altho, do check out this storyboard animatic, which apparently secured them a movie deal! (for which i cannot confirm info as i have lost the original source-link *bleh*)
a few useful googled/online storyboarding tips:
> what are storyboards?
> acting with pencils = a rough guide to storyboarding.
> production storyboard examples and production storyboards (altho i hardly ever use this format in local/singapore requirementsmaybe becoz we is slack :p)
> creating storyboards to plan your video (a PDF-file)
> DC animated cartoon archives (including Batman, Superman = for us fanboys lah :p)
