chobopop's plushies
CHOBOPOP is a Hungarian duo of Amee and Csaba, who designs and makes their own plushies, who've taken on various cheeky and mischievous-looking lil tykes, in varied shapes and sizes, ready to bury you in cuteness LOL ...
and i had a wee chat with Csaba about CHOBOPOP ~ *read about it after the JUMP*
TOYSREVIL: besides your myspace, is there anywhere else online where folks all over the world can go order your plushies?
CHOBOPOP: unfortunately there's no online shop where you can find our toys...
TRE: then where can folks go to look for your plushies? in Budapest?
CBP: In Budapest we are present in 3 stores - Retrock.com, PosterUrbanOutfit.com and Látomás...
TRE: the images on your myspace - when and where are they taken? your plush show?
CBP: The images on the front page of our myspace site are taken last december on a regularly art fair in Budapest, Szimpla Fair ... but in march 2007 we were present with our toys in Antwerp, Belgium at the Fashion Museum, "HomeMade Exhibition" - you can see pictures on the pictures section of our myspace about this event - (where the toys are exposed in a glass vitrine)
TRE: why the name "chobopop"? what does it mean?
CHOBOPOP: our plushies have some east european , western and japanese influences,
so we choose a japanese sounding word (chobo) that is similar with my name (Csaba) :)
and this is easy to pronounce in any language (also in hungarian)
TOYSREVIL: cheers for your time, Csaba, and good luck with CHOBOPOP! :)
- also check out their plush-goodies on flickr :)
