play imaginative@galleria foyer: event and toy images

did you know i actually jump-woke up on a friday late morning, thinking it was a Saturday instead? and that i'd missed the Play Imaginative@Galleria Foyer event? how's that for being anxious to attend the exhibition? LOL

and but of coz i was still "late", reaching the locale at near 3pm (instead of the "planned" 10am LOL - blame it on late-night blogging ;p). the foyer-area was thronging with people, both exhibition-vistors and passer-bys (the Galleria Foyer was literally the lobby leading out of the mall's entrance). made of up a main-stage (for signings) and a line of tables hawking PI-merchandize (from vinyl-toys, to tees, caps plushes = the works!), lined up against one side of the wall, while a cluster of black display units surrounded a structural pillar; displaying all things Trexis, 10"-ers and Baby Grabbit Plushes ... and in the center of the foyer sat an impressive array of island display units, displaying new vinyls and even prototype-sculpt surprises (which i had the opportunity for a peek last time i was @ PI)

upon entering the foyer, you'd be greeted by a humongus inflatable Bocky (never did ask if it was for sale tho LOL), next to the main stage area, where Taiwan-host-with-the-most; Jiao Jiao was the opening MC ... and with the crowd that had gathered, i could not imagine how it will be on Sunday! LOL


as mentioned earlier, the scale of the exhibits were very impressive indeed. with multiple island displays categorized by model and make, they made for schweet-vinyl eye-candy indeed, as well as curious onlookers (using camera phones) and toy-afficionados (using digi-cams) - my only gripe being the glare of the spotlights not being totally camera-friendly (at least to my amateur-skills dammit - thankgawd for photoshop LOL)


on display were a small selection of PI's fashion merchandize, with trucker-caps and tees, as well as Trexis in full force, including Series 3 and ABT Trexis.





there was even a on-stage contest to win an entire full box of Series 3! but of coz i was trying my damnest to remain calm and cool, continuing to snap pictures for you folks! now i'll never know if i would've been a winner and walk home with a box dammit LOL ... i'll keep my trap shut for the time being and let the images speak for themselves (as under-exposed as i've had them LOL)










included was also an entire display of DIY-Blanks, ranging from the Touma 16"-er Knuckle Bear to Grabbits et al - good news for customizers, perhaps? (i myself want a Adam Ape-blank tho, but have been told it will never happen LOL)


a dedicated display just for figures coming/going to SDCC, flanked by 2 huge TOFU-Gums! and the Wooden Grabbit didn't look half-bad ... who am i kidding? it looks great! LOL






Tei from Furi Furi and Touma were on-hand to sign autographs (which at one point the MC had mentioned they were "customizing" the vinyls and that they'd fetch 5 X times the original value on ebay!!! *slaps-palm-on-forehead*)




i was too chickenshitte shy to say *hi* and introduce myself to them (NOT that they'd know who the heck i was anyways LOL ;p) ... oh well ... so ends a toy-filled Saturday! (would've loved to drop by on the Sunday tho, but i was worried i'd be tempted too much by the vinyls!) *LOL*
