"Sideshow Collectibles, an industry leader in specialty and licensed merchandise, will produce new collectibles based on the upcoming film Hellboy II: The Golden Army. Licensed by Universal Studios Consumer Products Group, the collectibles will become available in time for the July 11, 2008, action-thriller release. Sideshow will release collectible 12-inch Figures, Premium Format Figures, Prop replicas of Hellboy's trusty guns, and Life-Size Busts, with products ranging in price from US$49.99 to $599.99." [via]based on what Sideshow had released from the first movie (1/6 Hellboy, Abe Sapien, Kronen), and of the awesome quality of said releases? I CAN'T WAIT FOR THESE (specifically of the 1/6th variety, 'natch) ... my toywishlist? (1) Johan Krauss, (2) Liz Sherman (c'mon, give us a girlie), (3) don't mind another Abe Sapien (in black-ops suit) ... Hellboy's not changed much, innit? (if at all :p) ... probably some "Villains" this time, as well, innit? cool for a quasi-LOTR-ish kitbash if need be ... heh.
meanwhile, peep the first product (above) to come out of the golden-gate: 'The Samaritan' 1:1 scaled prop replica of Hellboy's Revolver! - available in both Regular and Sideshow-Exclusive editions (go read the full description here) while im just a tad awestruck with the opening chamber! now seriously, that is *sweetness*, IMHO.
