more often than not, when i research for info about a toy/product, i hit a cyberwall and am left with naught but taunting pictures instead (curiosity thy bane) and however little teaser-infos ... case in point: MedFed's Dolly vinyl-medication from Wheaty Wheat Studios [blogged] and more often than not, if i'd wait a wee bit longer, more information would start flooding in, as was this posted on KR-forum (description mirrored here :p)

DOLLY'S STORY: (i have you know i so resisted using "Hello, Dolly" :p)

Dolly is a comment on humanity and the ever growing pharmaceutical culture that seems to further breed the alter-culture of dependence and need. It's a tricky juggling act developing medications to help humanity in America's capitalistic economy, with no comments on the conspiracy theorist. Dolly doesn't judge but instead desires to be a muse.

Dolly is inspired by the 1966 classic novel Valley of the Dolls by Jacqueline Susann. In this fictional but true commentary on the strains and stress of society and people's drive and need for success, the three heroines find themselves caught up in their ambitions and then their need to off set the consequences with prescription drugs.

For our purposes, this Dolly wants to inspire based on what your needs are. Dolly doesn't want to be pigeon holed into one thing but instead leaves it for the eye of the beholder. But ultimately, Dolly wants to keep our hope alive. Because without hopes and dreams, what more can this so-called life be?

Medfed is a project that exams the relationship of people and medicine. The history of people and medicine along with the origins and intent as well as extent of medicine is a key component and fodder for inspiration. With the culture of music and how the boundaries with drugs are often extremely blurred, music is also a key component for Medfed's inspirations.
