captain america's shield seen in iron man movie?
UPDATED 24th May 2008: I'd been pwned = YES It Was - d'oh!
UPDATED 19th May 2008: It was not specifically a single tangible 3-dimensional shield - per se. = CLICKETH FOR DETAILS :)

peeped above-screen image apparently from IRON MAN on Firstshowing.net [via /Film] whereby Captain America's comicbook-iconic shield is shown on the table behind Tony (or a holographic-projection of) around the one and a half-hour movie-mark, which frankly, totally slipped my field of vision when I watched it priors (but am going for a Wednesday-screening, so will confirm laterz) and when I peeped my screengrab from an online trailer = *there was nothing*
[new screen-pic above versus old screengrab below]
speculation suggests that the image was planted only when prints went to screen, perhaps in yet another connection between Stark and Captain America (ala Hulk) ... regardless of the intent or effect, I reckon crossovers are cool, but like the comicbooks, too many and too much eventually gets tiresome and perhaps a tad "forced" and gimmicky ... but that's just me ...
while researching for this post, I found this interesting (tho unconfirmed) para about the upcoming Edward-Norton headlined HULK movie:
"In The Incredible Hulk, General Ross mentions a World War II program that created a super soldier formula to Emil Blonsky, who leaps at this chance to defeat the Hulk. Viewers see this as a nod to Captain America." [wiki]
one celluloid-step at a time folks, one step at a time ...
