ugly doll action figures & sleepy chilly ice-bat plush @ san diego comic convention 2008
Tis revealed on David Horvath's Ugly-blog that the SDCC UGLY DOLL [blogged] is the regular color version of SLEEPY CHILLY ICE-BAT! (Character seen on thier plush-tags!) 400-pcs of him exists - good news for fans not at SDCC, I hope?
And for folks down at the Ugly Doll Booth @ SDCC would have a chance to see the brand new series of UGLY DOLL ACTION FIGURES up close and personal! My sincere thanks to David Horvath for posting images on his blogs for us folks destined to pound the convention aisles online LOL - CLICK THRU FOR MORE
Horvath says: "Don't call them urban vinyl!" (and I won't :p)
FACTS & TRIVIA:
- Figures come with action waist twist (heh) and are based on the books.
- The first series was supposed to be revealed last Toy Fair.
- They are much more squishy than the Critterbox versions. (I personally missed out on getting the series years ago - *sob*)
- They are 1/4th the size of the Critterbox versions.
- Price undetermined at the moment, but it would be under US$10 (Daivd mentions they are gunning for US$8!)
- Watch out for them @ Uglycon NYC at Giant Robot New York this December.
Trivia: The Umas were based on those actual shapes, and modeled off the same files.
