antz for adiartist @ adidas originals concept store, pacific plaza (sept 20-21 / day one)
With a thematic-play on the Elements (Water, Fire, Earth, Wind, Gold etc), ANTZ's creations for adiartist engulfed the adidas Original Concept Store @ Pacific Plaza - as seen on Day One September 20th, 2008 ... with modular lightboxed-simians scattered around the store and cut-out turbulent clouds hanging from the ceiling, one could imagine being transported into a hyper-neon day-glo confines of an urban "Peach Mountain" (of the classic "Sun Wu-Kong" lore), IMHO :)
ANTZ will be completing his "live" demo painting/installation on Sunday September 21st (between 3pm to 7pm @ Pacific Plaza, 9 Scotts Road, 01-09) - Do drop by and support your local artist! The centerpiece of ANTZ's display in the adidas Originals Store was a table (cleverly)
"dripping paint" - with a trio of boxy-simians holding court - *very noice indeed*
Silently overlooking everyone and greeting shoppers was a customed-Munny clad in
camo, with upswept hair, framed (and guarded) by his lightboxed-brethren - *cool*
ANTZ@WORK: The store-front/edge area was where ANTZ was doing his "Live" Demo painting, on a recycle wooden-crate - in tandem with the other large-scaled artwork done on recycled cardboard - where the result of which will be finished on Day Two, Sunday September 21st.
