The MIMO GALA @ Artoholic Gallery [www] saw the launch of MIMOBOT designer USB Flash Drives in Singapore on November 21st, 2008 [blogged] - including an exhibition of local artists works and "live" painting by Sheryo, ANTZ, Eeshaun, Traseone and PHU!.

I'd arrived around 7-ish with my friend Mark (after attending the Anime Festival Asia 08 Press Conference @ Suntec / Twittered :p) and proceeded to snap backs of artists for the duration of the "live" painting! LOL - This is what happens when the panel is against the wall lah! (*forehead-palm*) ... And here on TRE I present thee: Artists Backs!
Artists present include Sheryo, Eeshaun and Traseone. PHU! arrived a bit later (no doubt becoz of the drizzle that started when this shindig begun) ... and followed by ANTZ (who'd come straight from work - these folks have dayjobs too, ya know?!)/ The Artists had cut-out wooden panels in the shape of Mimobots for their "canvas". Midway into their painting, artists begun to collaborate with each other (with the exception of Eeshaun) in a round of crossover mayhem LOL (FYI: ANTZ has the exact list of collabos posted here).

The gallery floor was pretty packed, with what seemed to be a sweet turnout (considering it started to drizzle near the start). Perhaps tis my familiarity with the artists - I'd actually started to sit on the gallery floor (more interesting camera shots, not becoz there were no seating LOL) and got all comfy and such ... not sure how that reflected on the guests and organizers tho ... (where's the glamor, folks, WHERE? There is NONE when TRE is on the job! so-sad muahahahaha :p). The sight of my amateur-camera no doubt offered some guffaws amongst the digital-era-elite (f**k yeh I have a camera-inferiority-complex gawddamit). It's not the megapixels it holds but how you use the pics? - gimme Marco baby, and you'll be seeing a whole new different world of images on my blog, lemme tells ya! ... anyways...
Note to Self: Eat BEFORE attending any events, becoz when I start snapping, there ain't not much time to grab a bite, cocktail party reception or otherwise (also, I don't do stand-up cocktails very well somehow - I'm shy lah). A quick getaway bite outside the gallery and a sneak-back when the works were close to finish. Snapped my fill as folks gathered to the back-of-gallery for some memento-presentation (or sum such) leaving the gallery relatively empty-ish. (And folks wonder I don't get to make "new friends" at events like these LOL).
