"Blavatski & Sons" Custom Contraptions by Doktor A for Transcenders @ Gallery1988
In addition to the recent release of his MECHTORIANS figure series from MINDstyle [tagged] - Doktor A continues to astound with gorgeous one-off customs completed for the group show "Transcenders" - currently on show @ Gallery1988. Featuring a series of "personal lifestyle" enhancement-themed custom contraptions from a fictitious "Blavatski & Sons" (if only it were real, seriously) - with the one shown below being "The Automatic Medium : Seance Engine" = *Glorious*
And personally speaking, tis not just the astounding design and craft put into these pieces of art, but also of the continuous clarity of vision in the creation of these characters which perhaps dwell and populate his steam-punked Mechtorian-realms, IMHO. This would be a world I would love to visit, and often.
The customs can currently be viewed online @ www.transcenders88.blogspot.com - for which I have plundered serendipiously and reposted HERE. There is also a video of Doktor A's sculptures viewable here on the G1988-blog.
