Three Apples: An Exhibition Celebrating 35 Years of Hello Kitty @ Royal T (Oct 23-Nov 15)
THREE APPLES is a multi-dimensional exhibition and celebration of all things Hello Kitty [www]; as well as the first ever event of its kind in the US ~ held in honor of her 35th Anniversary celebration.
The Three Apples Art Show features over 80 contemporary artists' take / interpretation on the popular kitty character, including Amanda Visell, Andrew Brandou, Bigfoot, Brian McCarty, Buff Monster, Frank Kozik, Friends With You, Gary Baseman, Luke Chueh, Mary Inukai, Michelle Valigura, Natalia Fabia, Ron English, Simone Legno, Tara McPherson, Thomas Han, and Travis Louie plus a wide range of artists from all over the globe. Curated by Jamie Rivadeneira (owner of JAPAN LA) ~ the show launches October 23rd @ Royal/T (Café/Shop/Art Space) in Culver City, CA and exhibits thru November 15th, 2009.

FYI: A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the artwork will benefit L.A. Works, a volunteer action center that creates and implements hands-on community service projects throughout the greater Los Angeles area.
