Tokyo Dance Trooper / Danny Choo "Live" @ Anime Festival Asia 2009
Embedded above is Part 2 of "Tokyo Dance Trooper" Danny Choo in Singapore, taking in the sights and gettin' down in front of ION Orchard in Singapore, along with 3 of the adorable Moe Moe Kyun maids! [Part 1 of the video was posted HERE]. This video ~ along with the hilarious self-parody-intro ~ made it's full debut at AFA09 (where he danced along to the video) and was followed by Danny's live on-stage session with an uber-appreciative audience on Saturday 3:30-4:15 ~ in which he talked about the evolution path of his personal blog dannychoo.com and his company Mirai Inc.

And as the video on the big-screen played, in-danced silently from off-stage was Danny Choo "live" complete in Storm Trooper-armor! Dude popped, locked and boogied along in tandem with the video playing behind him (which unfortunately was distorted - stretched to "widescreen" beyond it's regular format - which nobody else seemed to be bothered with anyways lol). Then when the video stopped, Danny removed his helmet to yet another round of rousing applause. Singapore lurves them their Danny Choo, no b.s.!

A light-hearted round of introductions later (including remarks about the gradual but eventual weight of the armor setting in the longer he wears them), Danny proceeded to introduce to the audience both the evolution and development of his blog (with screengrabs dating back to 2005) and his current "day-job" as head-honcho of Mirai Inc.

Right after Danny Choo had left the main stage (I, of course would be the one that stays in my seat and wait for others to squeeze their way out ... little did I know what would happen next...) ~ a ridiculously huge crowd had blocked the exit/entrance on the way out, as I found out later (when I heard some folks talking about it in front of me) that the bottleneck was "caused" by Danny Choo signing his book (I think) at his Tokyo Figure Show booth, which of course happened to be right beside the entrance to the main stage!
It actually took quite a while for the crowd to move, as folks where contented to stand, snap pics and gawk (hell, I would too, innit? LOL) and eventually folks exited in a surprisingly orderly-ish manner (a tad pushing and shoving pockets here and there, unfortunately). And then, the day was done ~ well, at least for Danny's session :)
"Next time" I'll be like the average Singaporean that rushes out right near the end of a concert (to get to their cars in the parking lot first, so as not to be caught in a jam like this! LOL) ~ at the very least I could take a snap of how huge the crowd was, innit? heh.
