Exclusive Toys for DesignerCon @ Pasadena Convention Center, USA (Nov 21)
The inaugural DesignerCon (formerly known as Vinyl Toy Network) happens this coming Saturday November 21st @ the Pasadena Convention Center, USA ~ and what's a gathering of urban toys, art and pop culture without "exclusive toys"? [All info via DesignerCon.com at time of post]
Most have been posted on TRE [CLICK for DesignerCon-coverage] and this toy-specific blog-post is the last preview-push before festivities begin ~ CLICK THRU for exclusives to expect from Brian Castleforte, Buff Monster, Kuso Designer Toys & Itokin Park, Loyal Subjects & Sam Flores, Super7 & Paul Kaiju, KiLL & Rusted Halo, and Chad Carothers.
Artist Brian Castleforte releases his exclusive limited to DesignerCon Wack in the Box toy based off his iPhone app which is coming soon. Get your figure before they are all gone due to the app release.
Artist Buff Monster will be releasing a series of Exclusives especially made for the DesignerCon. This is the first in a series of releases and DCon 2009 is please to be the home of its initial release. Along with these Buff will bring other great customized toys and more.
Besides the earlier-posted Transition Celsius (Raffle Giveaway) ~ Kuso Designer Toys will also be releasing a special version of Lucha bear from Itokin Park @ Designer Con on 21st of November, booth #47.
American Lucha Bear is limited to only 10 pcs. Price is US$70. First come first serve. Also available will be a set of Celsius stickers!
Besides the release of Joe Ledbetter's LAVA-Edition Terror & Magus [blogged] ~ The Loyal Subjects will also be debuting Sam Flores' BLUE KID DRAGON! Limited to just 99 pieces, the Blue Kid Dragon will be available for pre-order exclusively at The Loyal Subjects booth. Collectors who pre-order the figure will be given invites to a private release party on December 2nd in Los Angeles with Sam Flores in attendance.
Super7 will bring the very first release of a Paul Kaiju figure, Party Ball (shown above). Along with the release Paul may bring a few surprises and Super7 always have some cool "secret" releases.
FYI: Shown above-right is an early sketch of Partyball circa 2005.
Paul mentions on his flickr: "This is how he looked in my dream.The style was like a man in a suit from a live action show. The character represented a mysterious ball full of assorted pranks."
