Robin Hood: International Movie Trailer & 1/6-scale Toy Suggestion
The "International" trailer for director Ridley Scott's feature film; ROBIN HOOD has been released (Viewable in Standard QT & HD via Apple.com). The movie stars Russell Crowe (as Robin) and Cate Blanchett (as Maid Marian). Looking forward to seeing another big-screen period film from Scott, perhaps even to relive those glory celluloid-days of "Gladiator", or even "Kingdom of Heaven" (at least for me :p). On the toy-front, methinks there could be a decent 1/6th-scale application to the characters, from say; Dragon Models? Seeing that they've a semblance of a Russell-Crowe headsculpt from their "Vietnam Russell" release (circa 2001 / above-left), and costume-moulds and weapons from their 2003-release of the time-travel medieval-fantasy flick "Timeline"? (above-right)
And while I understand the current penchant and preference for nigh-detailed and realistic-looking products, it would be interesting to see mid-level products at mid-range prices in a market bursting at the seams with high-end prices (understandably along with high-quality products) ~ the keyword being "mid-range prices" ~ as it would perhaps enable fresher/newer collectors to enter the hobby without breaking their bank, IMHO.
