Personally speaking, how a custom toy truly "affects" me, (beyond "aesthetics") is when I am able to envision "something else" when I look at the custom-piece (and of course seeing them online and in person is a totally different notion and effect altogether), specifically a memory or better yet, an imaginary environment in which said custom-toy can exist and thrive in.
From Rohby comes "Mechanical Power", a creation that both evokes a heightened sense of sci-fi imagery in which an 8 inch tall Mr Power vinyl figure ups and transforms, as well as the glorious memory of the Chris Cunningham-directed "All Is Full Of Love" music video by Bjork. *Wonderous*
