Q&A+Product-Feature: Getting To Know Your Good and Bad Clouds from Brainbow-Toy
Besides the fluffy-form with teenie-tiny-limbs, what got my attention for both these GOOD CLOUD and BAD CLOUD figures from Brainbow-Toy, were the lil lightning-bolt coming out of the Bad Cloud's bottom-fluff ~ which I thought was adorable, in a well, cheeky-way. (I like "cheeky" ... *ahem*)

TOYSREVIL: Who conceived and designed both Clouds? (Love the lil rainbow and lightning coming out of the clouds lol)
BRAINBOW-TOY: Brainbow-toy is actually two designers (Ilias Aravidis & Nikos Goulis). They (we) came up with the cloud idea. And also it is us the ones that designed them. We made everything from sketches to 3d models...
TOYSREVIL: What is their "story"?
BRAINBOW-TOY: There is actually a "story" behind them. Some years ago we made a drawing showing a typical greek-summer-landscape. All the cliches were there: the tavern, the beach, the "picturesque" village etc.
On the top of a hill, we placed the tomb of a poet. And over it -overlooking everything- appeared the good cloud. It seemed to us like a very sarcastic figure. Sortly after, we came with the idea to give it a brother, the bad cloud.

TOYSREVIL: So which came first? The Cloud toys or Brainbow Toys?
BRAINBOW-TOY: We run a design office in Athens-Greece (the brainstorm design) and we always wanted to showcase our non-client-based and more creative projects. So we created brainbow-toy in order to do that. The two clouds is actually the first project that came in production. We have lots of other projects in the making and hopefully people would be able to see some of them getting realized soon!
It'll make you see things through a different angle.

TOYSREVIL: What has happened to the Clouds recently? And what's up next for the Clouds? And Brainbow Toys?BRAINBOW-TOY: The latest developments are:
- The Clouds were first presented to the public at the Art-Athina art fair (as part of Benaki's museum shop) about a month ago and the received really good comments.
- One can still find them at the Benaki museum shop and also at shop of the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art. Both museums are in Greece (in Athens and Thessaloniki)
- As for Brainbow-toy in generall now, we are trying to realise as many projects as posible. We hope that this time next year we will be able to present our next series of vinyl toys.
