SDCC-Release: Foxglove by Amanda Spayd for San Diego Comic Con 2010 (DKE Toys Exclusive / Booth 4732)
When it comes to blogging about toys, there are actually loads of projects that are kept mum more than they are blogged about, and this particular project was one I could not wait to share with you folks! Featured earlier as teasers and work-in-progress shot HERE, DKE Toys has just revealed images and info of Amanda Spayd's FOXGLOVE SDCC-Exclusive! And I will state here and now, without a shred of over-hype, that THIS would be the key custom-figure I would get if I'm at SDCC. 'Nuff said. ~ CLICK THRU for full images and product-info!
Foxglove stands 9.5" tall (excluding ears), is hand-sewn and features hand-aged fabric, stuffed with hardwood sawdust and cotton. There are 3 different ear lining patterns among them, but they are all blue. Faces are handpainted cast resin (all done by Amanda herself). Each is signed and numbered on the back out of 25, the price for all this awesomeness is a paltry US$75 per. Also note that each figure comes along with a 4 x 5 antique-style hand-finished portraits (numbered/signed in graphite). DKE Toys booth #4732.
