Custom-Showcase: Otus Custom-Jouwe by Jimmy Foo (for Jouwe Custom Show @ Toy Art Gallery)
Otus has gives the slight impression of coming from a circus background, but his high wire act in an overly large rubber rhino suit was always going to be doomed to failure....so he now earns a crust signing on as cabin boy on any rusting hulk that will have him. Shore leave will find him wandering the docksides performing feats of balancing prowess in exchange for pennies and beer.
"Otus" is a delightful custom-Jouwe executed by Jimmy Foo, and destined for the Jouwe Custom Show @ Toy Art Gallery (opening October 10th / event-blogged). Otus is made (mostly) 'using Aves Apoxie and acrylic paint and a little bit of striped cotton fabric.'
A figure-within-a-figure is pretty brill a concept, IMHO ~ especially when it comes to toys haha ~ CLICK THRU for more pics of Otus ~ and well done, Jimmy!
