Tenacious Toys Custom Marshall Blind Box Series Reveals
With the earlier reveals of custom-Marshalls from Osiris Orion, Steve Talkowski and NEMO, New York-based Tenacious Toys now reveals three more artists' work, for the upcoming Custom Marshall Blind Box series ~ CLICK THRU for peeps, along with the origin story of this series straight from Benny of Tenacious Toys!
Scheduled for a September-release online via www.tenacioustoys.com ~ there will be 35 pieces in the series, with invited artists producing an average of 3 x regulars and 1 x chase for the series. Price per blind-box pull is US$50. Stay tuned for further releases!

IN THE BEGINNING:
Benny Tenacious Toys: NEMO and I are always kicking ideas around about fun projects we can do... a while back we met up at MPH for a show and to hang and we were kicking around the idea for a blind-box custom series. Since we were at MPH, we stood in front of their wall of mini figures and discussed which ones we thought would make good platforms. When we got to 64colors' Marshall figures, we both stopped. The simple design and that big round head was perfect, we both agreed! A very cool platform, and of course we must give full props to 64colors for such an excellent design, and Rotofugi for the quality production.

THE CONCEPT:
Benny Tenacious Toys: Our concept was to put quality customs by talented artists into the hands of collectors for not very much money. We decided that US$50 was a reasonable retail price. The idea was set. So we started talking, sent some emails, made some calls. Eventually I rounded up 13 of my closest east coast friends and contacts, plus a few from out west, and our artist roster was born:

HOW MANY MARSHALLS:
Benny Tenacious Toys: The Marshalls were handed out and before long, they started trickling back in, and they are most certainly of the highest quality, each and every one of them. I'm really proud of this series! We have about 35 pieces in the series. About half of the artists were each given 4 Marshalls to customize: 3 in a standard style, and one variant. The other artists were given 3, or 2, or 1 figure to do up as chases or mystery figures.
I should have this series ready to sell in about 2 weeks, give or take. They'll be sold in the Customs section of our website and I'll be emailing with exact dates and times of the sale once I nail that down.
