Green Lantern's Power Battery Revealed!
SlashFilm gives us a headsup + "first look" at the Power Battery from the upcoming live-action GREEN LANTERN movie [tagged] ~ and folks? This ain't the Oan Power Battery we are used to seeing in the comicbook, lemme tells ya! But who knows? Maybe it'll grow on me ... sheeya, like a rash! ~ altho to be absolutely fair, it makes more "sense" than lugging around an old skool "gas-lantern" ... or does it?
Above-left (via JustJared) shows the enlarged mock-up of the Battery seen on-stage at the 2010 Spike Scream award show (where Ryan Reynolds received an award from co-star Blake Lively), while above-right is apparently straight from the movie (via DailyBlam). CLICK THRU to see how it was like, in the "good old days" ... (before it looked like a suped-up electric shaver, innit?)
I guess it will fit in better from an alien tech/bio-organic perspective. The suit already has a bio-organic design so far. I think they should stop trying to over visualize things. It could be great though..you never know
