ERIC'S TOP TEN TOYS OF 2024 - #10: Crayon Shin Chan "Waniyama-san" costume version by Best Be.Fore
ERIC CHEW: I love crayon Shin chan. I was at a Taiwanese friend's place and saw this comic book, she told me to read it, it's funny. Being a huge fan of comic books, I sat down and read the whole book while my friends were playing outside. Ever since then, I beg my mum to buy anything related to Crayon Shin Chan. I would have to admit that Shin Chan is a nuisance but if I were to be his friend, I can be as crazy as him too.

ERIC CHEW: I first bought Jaygolla in TTF 2023. Jaygolla was designed after a youtuber that I followed and I found it interesting.
Later in Toy Soul 2023, I met youzi and coincidentally, he was the designer of Jaygolla. He invited me for the custom and it has been stressful ever since. How do I make it nice but yet relatable?

ERIC CHEW: 蠑螈超獸 is a production of In Toys and this devilman crossover was one of the finest product I ever seen in 2024. The details and the color is painted perfectly.

ERIC CHEW: My favorite ninja turtle character crossed over with one of my favorite artists. This is a must get!

ERIC CHEW: I love Kohei Ogawa's work. It's simple, there isn't any articulation for the toy but yet, the toy always looks good in pictures. I would say it is a very instagrammable toy.
There are so many characters that I like from his work that I couldn't name which one I like the most. Draco is introduced in 2024 for the year of the dragon, I have to list it as my top 10.

ERIC CHEW: My favorite head sculpt paired with a funny face body but yet, it still looks so good together. I am amused but yet at the same time, amazed by this character.

ERIC CHEW: Everyone needs a labubu in 2024. The craze for it was so huge that even my non toy collector friends started collecting labubu. For me, it wasn't the plush that I needed, It's KINGMON.
Of course, there are many more that i need especially Fireball (ma.k crossover)!!!

ERIC CHEW: When my favorite toy artist and my favorite anime character have a crossover, It is a must buy!!
I remember joining the lottery daily during TTF and I finally managed to win on the 3rd day. It was my best day of TTF.
ERIC'S TOP TEN TOYS OF 2024 - #1: CHEWTHULHU (MASTERMOLD)
ERIC CHEW: I have to list this as my first for 2024. Chewthulhu was my very first toy created, it has its flaws but it's still my favorite ultimately. I have many stories behind chewhtulhu but it was never properly told and I am always guilty about it.
That's why when I am working for chewthulhu 2.0, I will make sure the story will be properly told before I release it.
The master mold has always been with the factory and when my toy maker friend passed it back to me. It reminded me of every single reason why I started making toys.
