EVANGELION Anime Returns to U.S. Cinemas for 2 days only

For the upcoming "EVANGELION 30th Movie Fest" in the U.S., two EVA films are heading to the cinemas, with "EVANGELION:DEATH (TRUE)² & REBIRTH" in theatres July 21st, while "THE END OF EVANGELION" on July 22nd.

The original film adaptation of the TV anime NEON GENESIS EVANGELION was helmed by Director Hideaki ANNO and aired from 1995-1996.

EVANGELION:DEATH is a compilation of episodes 1-24 out of the original 26 episode series, as well as EVANGELION:REBIRTH, a portion of the alternate ending to episode 25, “Air.”

Further screenings evolved into the version known as EVANGELION:DEATH (TRUE)² & REBIRTH, which is now being screened outside Japan in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the series.

The final movie version of "THE END OF EVANGELION" from Hideaki Anno was created as an alternative ending to the NEON GENESIS EVANGELION TV series, remaking the final two episodes from the 1997 series.

And while I adored the feature films, I have faint memories of the TV anime series, and even then, the films' messages fly above my merger intellect, while I focused on the "awesome mechs", and continue to collect the collectibles that only recently as I had rewatched said anime-films on Prime (still not grasping the context entirely), reminded me of loving the concept, and filling up my display shelf, cheers...
