of dark horse deluxe gloomy bears and my notebook adventures
i had a diary once (or thrice, maybe), in my younger slightly more angsty turbulent teenhood (*ahem*), but they never seem to go past a week ... i reckon tis the eventual monotony of whining into a personal journal that you tuck underneath a drawer or shelve to keep away from prying eyes, that turned me away. (of coz now i whine online on a blog lah! LOL). and that you can't literally bring them around to pen down your thought whenever you want to, innit? ... aahhh but "notebooks", i do pretty well with notebooks.
i have a pile of bargain-basement notebooks that i depend on quite regularly nowadays, for work-related notes, to writing blog content even before i type them unto ye 'ol Mac. very handy as ideas would pop in whenever and wherever (i always keep at least one notebook with me whenever). the only problem is i don't label my non-descript notebooks and i find myself often pouring thru each and every page to look for something i wrote sometime ago! which is cool, becoz sometimes i might "find" something i wrote but had forgotten about ... *heh*
but trifle notebook-nostalgia aside, along comes this bloody-schweet (both, "literally") Gloomy Bear Journal (USD$9.99) from Dark Horse Deluxe, featuring Mori Chack's by-now-well-known characters Gloomy Bear and his oft-abused owner, Boy Pity:
along with matching Stationary-Set - which includes 8 letter sheets, 6 envelopes, and stickers (5 3/4" x 8 3/4") = would make a pretty darn nifty prezzie for fans and folks alike (folks: remember Valentine's less that a month away, eh? ;p)
but of coz don't go happily claiming that you're "Boy Pity" and you lurve your partner even tho he/she's "abused" you, yeh? (maybe "cute" to some, a mortal sin to others *snicker*)
and if stationary doesn't float your boat (but who doesn't like stationary???), there's the Gloomy Bear Heat Sensitive Mug (which i think is darn cool+cute and would lurveta have) and a variety of tee-shirts for both guys and gals here ~ *neato*
