spiderman 3 updates and the venom/transformers conspiracy
longtime no Spiderman 3 movie news, eh? :p
predominantly, visual images of the Black Spider-suit and Venom took up bandwidth, while Goblin Jr took a coupla steps back and Sandman languished in everyone else's dust (*ahem*), and since Venom has basically been whored to cyber-death, the last straw probably being the Medicom 1/6th-releases (which had Marvel make SideShowToys pull the pics) and then suddenly, there was no one else left to be "revealed" ... except for this Goblin-suit got more brickbats than upwardly erect-thumbs.
personally this image+design (via Spiderman 3 website / under "wallpapers"), i reckon tis pretty promising if anyone wanted to do a live-action G.I. Joe movie (aesthetics fit like a T ~ "Hail Cobra!"), but if it's a three-way between Venom and Sandman? but then again it might not matter, coz what happens after the fight between Osborn and Peter, dude dun need the suit and googles anymore, innit? which sorta contradicts the opening scene, which in turns contradicts the big finale, innit? (remember we do see Harry being carted off with a neck-brace in the trailers?), but then again there's also the other rumored shock ending, innit? *heh*

whether tis 3 villains or 4 (is Mysterio still a cameo?), at least the supporting characters are getting a big chunk of screen presence. and even before the movie is screened, questions surround the fate of Spiderman 4 - are they going ahead with it? if they do, would it be without Sam Raimi, Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst? and would the villain ever be The Lizard? becoz come to think of it, the villains are always as important as the hero ~ a hero is defined by his villains ~ IMHO, of coz :)
my take on it? tis just a gigantic cross-studio marketing "strategy": the Alien Spidey Symbiote was actually a refuse-product (ie: mecha-sh*t) originating from a Transformer Protoform (probably Megatron's) that was "released" in the stratosphere and hence landed seperately from the protoform itself, landing on Peter Parker's head ...
