what a difference a DVD-version makes ... the first time i watched Joss Whedon's Serenity was a whiles' back on a pre-loved VCD, and altho i did enjoy the ride, i thought it was, well, literally "meh" ... (and no, i'd not had the benefit to have watched the cancelled tv-series, Firefly, prior) ... and then i just watched it on DVD (another pre-loved item) and thought it was a rawkin'kickass-ride! (and fired-up enuff to do a blog-entry about it LOL)

crispier images and colors helps loads in defining a film and totally adds to the overall experience, IMHO. *yep* ... and i wonder why nobody produced 1/6th-figures of them, besides carded-toys (cancelled show notwithstanding, of coz ;p) ...well, i reckon they're perfect(ish) for kitbash-fodder, innit? the rugged captain Mal? or the weapon-loaded Jayne? how about a toughie Zoe? or maybe you'd wanna bring back Wash ::from the dead?:: and i've got an idea for a River Tham (but that'll haveta wait til the end of the month, when i scrounge-up some dough ;p) - heck, a Reaver could really kick-plastic-ass too, no? LOL
