about brian mccarty's 2008 toys calendar
i used to collect calendars. t'was less with keeping time than to have the possibilities of having something/purdy pictures (on the flipside) that i could someday somehow use to adorn my blank walls with. decades later, my walls are still blank(ish) and i have since not gotten any calendars of any kind (except for free bikinied-babes *cough* promotional handouts. sad but true.) but IF ever i were to get a calendar now? i'll def consider getting Brian McCarty's Toys 2008 Wall Calendar ...
admittedly, McCarty's photography was one of the few key inspirations to get me snapping my toys "seriously". the visual language is both cinematic and in some cases; convincingly tells a story/opus in a single frame. *crispy-sweet*
produced by MTV Books and StrangeCo, McCarty's 2008 Toys Calendar measures 12 X 12 inches and features toys by Andrew Bell, Jeremy Fish, tokidoki, Sam Flores, Luke Chueh, Monkey vs. Robot etc, and is slated to ship late Nov 2007. pre-order HERE [images via]
