ART IDOL is on again in 2008 starting this August 1st @ the annual ANI-COM Hong Kong (aka "Hong Kong Comics Festival" / wiki) - featuring a "Sports"-theme this year (no doubt to coincide with the Olympics) with character-designs from a selection of key HongKong-creators - including Winson Ma, Kenny Wong, Patrick Chow, William Tsang, Husky Kevin and more = CLICK THRU FOR LINE-UP

Lasting til 5th August, Ani-Com celebrates it's 10th-year anniversary, and is held at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre, Wan Chai North, Hong Kong Island.

Alex Wong seems to be featuring a Hulk-inspired "papertoy" (looking forward to that) / Alan Ng showcases the last product from Boredomsqueezer; Walking Paradise / Cody Liu is rawking a Rorschach-vibe with his masked-man...

Danny Chan (Spooky Cat) musters up some Olympic-spirit (just in time for an August 8th launch) / Dom Shi of Darkbox Workshop showcases a Shadowman encased within a Silver Death figure (!) / Gabriel Li intrigues with a cross between a chinese opera / wayang and luchador-vibe character

Gary Cham takes the mickey out of Mickey? / Husky Kevin showcases his Icy Bunny ala Olympic-torch (last seen at TTF) / James Chan shows a buffed-Batman working out LOL

Joe Lo's sporty panda takes a breather from a game / Kenny Wong carries on the sporty spirit with Molly / Milton Wong develops his Thai-boxing-inspired 3-D Wire Boxer

Oogie Lam's red hair runaway girl threatens to burst forth / Patrick Chow continues his exploration into Ball-Joint-Dolls witth Ballmer / Rita Ip's cat seems to disagree with gymnastics :p

Sherman Li is inspired by the jurassic period / Steven Chui's panda seems to be taking a break from kung-fu training / Winson Ma's Old Master Q (Lao3 Fu1 Zhi3) decides to take an arctic trip (last seen @ TTF 2008)

Winson Ma does double-duty with Monkey Dunk-illustrations (Olympic-inspired, no doubt) / William Tsang showcases his Leo-creation / Sky Liu wows the crowd with a wheelchair-flip!
