Toy Karma 2 @ Rotofugi Gallery (Sept 5)
TOY KARMA 2 is an art exhibition featuring artists expressing their love for classic Japanese toys.
Founder of Max Toy Company and curator of this exhibit, Mark Nagata explains that "it’s the idea that if you’re honest in your dealings that one toy that you’ve always dreamed of getting will eventually come to you". For many serious toy collectors it’s a guideline, a mantra and yes, even a lifestyle. This exhibit pays homage to the mysterious force and power that toys have over us. [info]
Toy Karma 2 opens Saturday, September 5, 2009 (Exhibit thru Sept 20th) @ Rotofugi Gallery, Chicago. Preview of customs and artwork are currently online via rotofugi.com [images via]. Also check out the Toy Karma 2-blog for write-ups of customs and other exclusive production kaijus available at the show.
