Custom-Showcase: (Spawn) Angela by Jared Cain (Nikejerk)

From Jared Cain aka Nikejerk comes a custom-figure themed after a comicbook character that should be instantenously identifiyable to fans of Spawn comics: Presenting the angel bounty-hunter ANGELA!

Risen from the fictional "dead" (in this particular and not via the comicbook), Angela was built on top of an Erick Scarecrow Liberty vinyl figure, and was completed as a private commission. (Go bug Jared at jared.cain@gmail.com for commish, yo). Jared also mentioned that Spawn was the only comic he had ever collected!

Jared-said: "The person who commissioned this piece is a huge fan of Spawn and has quite a collection of custom Spawns...but doesn't have an Angela. We talked things over and decided that the Liberty would be a good base to start from...even though I ended up changing the figure drastically.

I'd say that more than 50% of the Angela custom was sculpted from scratch. I anticipated a certain amount of sculpting but as I worked I realized that what I wanted to do with the piece was going to require serious reworks so I just kept at it and this is the end result."

DID-YOU-KNOW: Angela is a fictional character in Todd McFarlane's Spawn comic book series. The character was created for the series by writer Neil Gaiman which led to a legal battle between McFarlane and Gaiman over the rights to the character. [via Wiki]
