Jokers, Shamans, Plushies and Mega Munny Customs from Jon-Paul Kaiser

Jon-Paul Kaiser is a busy man, and very, very productive as well highly prolific these days. There is never a week goes by when we do not see images of his work, and this week is a doozy! So instead of posting multiple posts, here is a roundup of JPK's work instead! Starting with this lil piece of coolness:


Remember the Joker / Bank Robber Billy Bronze custom-teaser I posted here? Here we have the full reveal, for your collective drooling pleasures (I know I did ;p).


And since it was found, Jon-Paul reveals his chase Dunny for the Most Wanted Series 2! JPK-mentions: "He's a Shaman from an approximate post-Neolithic age somewhere deep in Britain's distant past. The custom was inspired by old pagan rituals in Britain linked with the summer solstace, especially around the ancient henges/stone circles we have here (like Stonehenge). I wanted him to look like a powerful albeit tiny, dumpy-shaped figure, that reflected the feeling of power of the rising sun on the solstace with his eyes closed and facing up so he feels the rays of the dawn warming him and stretching out his arms to embrace it."


JPK: "I have a fascination with tattoos (though I don't have many myself) and have always had a bit of an obsession with one half of the body being covered with epic tattoos, which I thought it would work especially well with the figure as one half you could clearly make out the detailing of the character and the other side is the intricate pattern of the tattoo. The tattoo itself isn't a typical Albion tattoo, which are usually based on more organic, natural forms, which was close to what I wanted but not quite right. I then came across pictures of Persian/Mesapotamian tattooing and it fitted perfectly with what I was looking for."


Not content with putting ink on vinyl figures, JPK is also an apt artist (having created the TOYSREVIL image for CLEA) with his most recent work done for the first birthday of A Little Stranger's HEY CAVEY plush figures! What he did was draw an image, whereby said image was made into a hand-stitched plush via Holly aka ALS, and ready to be auctioned off along with the rest of the custom Caveys, come auction's end on May 26th at the birthday event in Fleet River Bakery.



From a palmful to JPK's largest custom to date, a Mega Munny! The commission has reached it's owner and JPK shares with us snaps an words!

JPK: "This guy arrived with his new owner yesterday. His new owner and myself are very, very pleased with him! It's a Mega-Munny, which is my first and to be honest, they're a pleasure to paint. The arms come off which helps a lot and it's liek cradling a child when you're painting it.

Anton (the new owner) and I talked a lot about ideas when we were getting this off the ground, and used Jake from my 3" Clown Brothers Dunny customs as inspiration. This is a move on from there, post-zombie plague but he's still as evil and twice as mean."
