Best Use of Food Munny Custom by Pronto Pixel for Munnyworld Megacontest

Tamish Aswani aka PRONTO PIXEL is a "Resident Artist" of Jakarta-based Plastic Culture. We had previously posted about his DEATH BERRY custom-Munny, and to see it gain First Place in BEST USE OF FOOD in the recently announced Munnyworld Megacontest, is quite a delight. Shown above-left is the original drawing done by Tamish, which inspired the custom (shown below in detail, when the Munny was sent to P.C. in Indonesia).


I had asked Tamish what was his personal impressions of the win, along with this question: "Do you think Indonesia artists/designers are comparable to overseas/western designers?"

PRONTO PIXEL: "First off I am very grateful that The death Berry got a chance to get noticed and come first place in the best use of food category of the munny mega contest.

Its awesome to see not only me but other artist from Indonesia being noticed and winning as well. I really think Indonesia has a lot of awesome artist and designers, every creative in the scene always comes up with brilliant pieces of work, let it be Art, design, fashion, photography etc. I believe that the work we create has always been comparable with overseas/western designers."


PRONTO PIXEL: "It's just about time that we are being noticed and getting more beautiful work out there. There a lot of creatives from Indonesia that I respect admire and its really cool that everyone of us is working hard and doing what we love. I really believe that we are on a path where we will have the opportunity to do collaborations with different artist/designers from the west since we are all under the same creative bubble."
