You know why The Phantom never made it as big as Batman or any other domino-masked hero wearing his underwear on the outside? Because they did not have any memorable villains or nemesis, to battle for dear life, and make them look good. Hey I enjoyed Billy Zane's celluloid-turn as any non-comicbook follower did, but would be interested to see a reboot of this character, IMHO.
