Bane on EMPIRE Magazine (Dark Knight Rises)

EMPIRE-BANE-01

The focus from the Christopher Nolan directed; "The Dark Knight Rises" feature film seems to have subtly shifted from Selina Kyle Catwoman, back to BANE, with his mug on the cover and appearance in the interior pages of EMPIRE - with a firm focus on the muscle-bound vision of the character. Fair enough the villains are getting the interest, as frankly we've seen the Batman in his suit, and there's only so much variations you can do to the Bat-suit before it transcends on to 'cartoon-territory', IMHO (One prime example is the thermal-eyes suit in "The Dark Knight" LOL).

EMPIRE-BANE-02

"It's really all about finishing Batman and Bruce Wayne's story. We left him in a very precarious place. Perhaps surprisingly for some people, our story picks up quite a bit later, eight years after 'The Dark Knight.' So he's an older Bruce Wayne; he's not in a great state. With Bane, we're looking to give Batman a challenge he hasn't had before. With our choice of villain and with our choice of story we're testing Batman both physically as well as mentally." ~what Chris Nolan reveals in the magazine, is an "interesting" premise, and bucks the "Year One" direction the previous two films might have offered.
Look out for the prologue coming with Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol in IMAX ~ where it "is basically the first six, seven minutes of the film. It's an introduction to Bane, and a taste of the rest of the film." mentioned Chris Nolan.
