Scarygirl by Nathan Jurevicius x Square Enix
Nathan Jurevicius' SCARYGIRL character concept should be familiar to a whole generation of collectors who stuffed their shelves with his characters in the mid-2000s and most recently via 2 mini-series from Kidrobot: City Folk and Swamp Dwellers, and a whole new generation of folks will be reacquainted with the lore with an upcoming Porcelain Bunniguru from K.Olin. I remember first seeing his comic-strips in Playground magazine (a supplement of MiLK magazine) and even scoring an entire series of figurines when the Flying Cat label was in force in Hong Kong (one day when I re-find it, I will review it ;p). There was a graphic novel published in 2009 as well, and one day I too will somehow get my hands on that!
Fast forward to today, Square Enix has taken Scarygirl unto the video game realms! We've seen developmentals of the online game before (which can still be played at Scarygirl.com), but this is the next level of play! ShockTIllYouDrop reported:
"Developed by TikGames, Scarygirl will be available on January 18 for the Xbox LIVE Arcade for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, January 24 for the PlayStation Network for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and Windows PC in early 2012."
