Jouwe Welcome Party @ Ore Premium Store in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia (May 17)
"After 4 year wandering around the world, JOUWE has finally landed in Indonesia.
Jouwe was first released in 2010, with 2 shows in 2 different countries; in US on October 2nd 2010 and in Germany on October 10th 2010. 3 custom group show was happening at Arty Farty Gallery (Germany), Toy Art Gallery (US), and Outland Records (Amsterdam).
We've been waiting for a very long time for this bad boy to come to Indonesia, so let's celebrate it with a release party, yesss!"
Scheduled for May 17th 2014 is the "JOUWE WELCOME PARTY" at Ore Premium Store in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia, with an event consisting of a talk show and signing session with >Marine Ramndhani (the creator of Jouwe), in conjunction with a "Collector Showcase" by The Brotherhood of Toys, as presented by Plastic Culture.
Why Talk Show?: " Hmmmm maybe Jouwe want to share his experience when he was traveling around the world (LOL), also share something that he found along the journey to all toy and art lovers in Indonesia." -said Marine Ramdhani.
"Honestly I'm so happy that I can make this event in Surabaya. Why Surabaya? Because actually 6 years ago we've been planning to create Jouwe Custom Show in Surabaya, so why don't we start from this point yet again. This exhibition also Jouwe's first show after Hawaii, US, Germany and Netherlands; the only differences is the material: last time we're using resin, now we're using vinyl." -shared Marine Ramdhani. "Jouwe landed with 5 different colorways: Yellow, Blue, GID, Blank and Grey."
