And while Thailand Toy Expo (April 30-May 3) and Thailand Comic Con (May 1-3) rages on in the weekend, another event happening is Bangkok Comic Con (April 30-May 3) happening this year at Bitec, Bangna. I've had the opportunity of being at BCC last year and from what I had experience, it bordered on the concept of a Western convention, but had a strong "media" influence. The organizers "TRUE Visions" is a media company, so they play to their strengths, and closest comparison in terms of content would be to TTC, while TTE stands out from the trio of events.

The second year running sees BCC collaborating with the first ever edition of Anime Festival Asia Thailand, heralding an even larger J-Pop and anime culture to the Land of the Smiles - so expect a whole lot of COSPLAY and CELEBRITIES, and all around sleekness in presentation, methinks.
One aspect of AFA I enjoyed - even if only in Singapore's edition, was the "Creator's Hub" ("Artist Alley") and one of my go-to-spots to seek out fanart and artists. Creators Hub will be at Exhibition Hall of the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (www.bitec.co.th):
