Edward Low's #TopTenToysOf2017 On TOYSREVIL

And while we'd chat online previously, I'd only randomly met toy-collector Edward Low (and budding artist) in-person last year (at Ozzo Collection - the nexus of the art toy scene here in Singapore, where most folks get to meet each other), and "poisoned" each other at the same time (we both bought Fanny Kao's Acorn & Nutty LOL)! And now I get to share HIS "toy poison" for TOYSREVIL's Top Ten Toys of 2017 MUAHAHAHAHAAAAA - Thanks for sharing, Edward! :)

#10 Cutebot Skull Black by The Duang x JPX - "Knowing that Thailand is filled with designer/ art toys. Can’t missed out to get one of the “local made” when visiting Bangkok. The only place I went to is none other than, PlayHouse. It is the biggest and bulkiest piece I own thus far."

#9 Nathaniel Vigo by JPK - "JPK is super well known for his custom works. Managed to find his toy released years ago randomly on Instagram & seller not even trying to flip the price. Just have to grab it! Managed to get the man himself sign on this beauty during STGCC 2017."

#8 Jiangshi Acolyte by Daniel Yu - "Not a big fan of scary looking toys but something in this Jiangshi got me. It is between cool and scary. The magnetic limbs add on to the playable value in this small resin figure. Might be getting the big one in 2018. Haha!"

#7 Quiccs’s Forbidden TEQ63: Ghost Mode Edition - "Since started collecting toys, I’ve been checking around within the South East Asia region and found Quiccs. Weeks before flying to Manila for my annual visit with the in laws, Quiccs releases this beauty & I have to order this. Got some tips on where to find toys when in Manila from the man himself too. Glad to finally meet him at STGCC 2017."

#6 The Never Ending Tales: Teddy Bee & Ruff by Michael Chuah - "Being a Malaysian & toy collector, when one of the local artists release own designer/ art toys, you just have to own them. Michael being one of the pioneers in the comic scene, I believe he is the first in Malaysia to release vinyl toy about 16 years ago which is like a holy grail for Malaysia’s toy collector now."

#5 Qbies Dino by Sean Lee - "Own the resin Qibies Dino months after STGCC 2016 and super excited when the soft vinyl hit the market. But stop myself from jumping in to get one until Sean releases hand painted version with exactly same colour of the resin version I own."

#4 Hippo Guy by TEK - "We make friends everywhere thanks to toy. Thanks to Hippo Guy back when it was just a resin toy, I got to know the artist himself and we became friends. Witnessing the journey of an up & coming artist is amazing! And I am very proud to see Hippo Guy transform from resin to soft vinyl in 2017."

#3 Dragon King by Kanokid x Bait - "As a Bruce Lee’s fans but not a big fan of action figure, this is a must have. What’s more when it is a licensed piece & to celebrate the legend’s 75th Birthday back in 2015."

#2 The Pocket Rascals by Wetworks – painted by Drawdelow (me) - "Got the blank figure from Wetworks during STGCC 2017 but have no idea what to do with it until 1 day an idea strikes me. I am a huge fan of Linkin Park and the passing of Chester hit me really hard. Decided to paint it up to pay my tribute to Chester Bennington."

#1 Leaf Spirit by Muju World - "Thanks to ToyGeeks: Behind The Counter, fell in love with everything that produced by Mr. & Miss Muju. The details in such a tiny resin casted piece is just so amazing! The rainbow colour just make it even better!"
