my shrooman-custom wip report
not to be flogging a dead-plush-horse or anything like that (but of coz i am muahahahaha) - here's a visual report/breakdown of my Shrooman custom (completed for ESC-Toy's Shiitakes Parade @ Toyqube) work-in-progress:

SHROOMAN-DESIGNS THAT DIDN'T QUITE MAKE THE CUT
- the first image that into mind when i'd started to consider designs for my Shiitakes-plush custom ... the most important thing i'd wanted was to retain the original white of the DIY-Plush - this Ronin would've been entirely attired in white, a winter-ninja - but then it would've been too "close" a design to Erick Scarecrow's (creator of Shiitakes Plush) POISON-plush ... *heh*
- the next idea that popped into mind as doing a Shroom-Trooper! still thingking along the lines of an all-white figure, the Stormtrooper-rip would've been perfect, complete with plush-blaster LOL - and i'd seriously consider this figure, with all-felt armour ... but i reckon it might have been too "obvious" a choice, IMHO :p
- another option was to totally move away from my 1/6th-influence, with this custom totally in plush/felt, including the legs. one of the plans (not drawn) was to have a miniature dioramic cityscape with folks running around in fear of the invading creature ... then i felt it was too much like the obvious War Of The (Plush) Worlds ... and that maybe my handsewing skills might not be up to par LOL ... but also i'd little time to experiment ... maybe one fine day i might pick up a needle and thread to try, yeh? :p
- the above image was to do-up the entire Shrooman in felt, including the body - but i felt did not have the required sense of volume i'd wanted, as compared to having a 1/6th-body .... so after a run-around, i finally came back to my 1/6th-roots and embraced it! *LOL*
