1/6 Dark Knight Batpod from Hot Toys

While gawking at the debut of the Hot Toys 1/6th-scaled Movie Masterpiece BAT-POD [tagged] via online pics during the Tokyo Toy Show (circa June 19-22), I couldn't help but fear for it's eventual price, but then again, there is a price for coolness, and the Bat-pod is indeed cool, IMHO. Add to that it's companion piece - the 1/6th-scaled BATMAN (Dark Knight Suit Version)? = *awesome-cool*
Hot Toys has just released official info about the Dark Knight's sweet-ride, based on it's appearance in the upcoming Dark Knight feature film [www]. Slated for a December 2008-release, Blister.jp currently has it priced at 32,000YEN (US$300 / SGD$409).
Special features include:
- Authentically detailed 1/6th scale collectible
- Prefect scale to Hot Toys’ 1/6th BATMAN figure (the Dark Knight version) collectible figure
- Headlights light up function
- Right weapon features Machine Gun, Grappling Hook and Wheel with Hub-Mounted Engines
- Made of plastic
FYI: What was not shown specifically here was the battery-attachment that was seen while the vehicle was on display @ TTS via dangly-cable. Would it be built-in batteries powering the lights? Or otherwise? ... Yah, like you'd be pushing/shoving your Bat-pod around at play, innit? heh. Frankly, I lurve me my 1/6th-scaled motorbikes, but this price-point keeps it out of my saddened hands (for now) ... anyone wanna give me one for a product review? Hot Toys - are you reading this? :)))))
*now I'm interested to know if there is any particular differentiation between either Japan or HongKong-variants with the two coloways of the Bat-pods shown - all SILVER, or BLUE-Tinged with Orange Piston? Or are they just colored prototypes awaiting approval?*
