custom previews for art + action = obama show (oct 17) featuring jon-paul kaiser & leecifer
Two more preview sneaks of customs completed for the upcoming ART + ACTION = OBAMA 08 group customs show [tagged] happening this Friday October 17th @ The Showroom NYC - featuring Jon-Paul Kaiser (of Porzilla) and Leecifer's take on the Obama action figure from Jailbreak Toys.
Image-left shows Jon-Paul's stark white spray primer with black acrylic painted details (no sharpies or pens used at all) and aptly dubbed "STARK OBAMA".
And this is what Leecifer had to share about his custom (shown-below): "As far as my take on Obama, I don't get the sense he is like other politicians. I believe he is capable of reflection beyond what is just good for him, or his friends and family, or even his political party. Hence the title "Inner Vision" and representing him w/ a third eye."

WHAT: ART + ACTION = OBAMA 08
Leecifer further adds: "After 8 yrs of a government driven by special interests - big business like the oil industry, military/defense contractors etc. w/ a poisonous agenda felt the world over, I want a president who doesn't think "Kill 'em all and let God sort 'em out!" is an appropriate stance for global diplomacy and foreign policy. A person with a "third eye" if you will, that allows for looking with in ones self as well as to the future to guide this nation with intellect, reason, and compassion."
"Will it happen? Well as Henry Rollins said historically speaking "The Democrats never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity" "And the Republicans cheat!" I do believe however that given the opportunity Barack Obama, with his "inner vision", can begin to make a difference we so desperately need in this nation. His "blueprint for change" and general stance on the issues (too numerous to list here, but check www.barackobama.com/issues) gives me hope. I was very pleased to participate."
