Daily Wrap-Up: May 4th 2011 on TOYSREVIL
The date May 4th had a significance in the Universe of Abject Geekery, as it is the designated day of the year celebrating all-things Star Wars; STAR WARS DAY! And most folks reply with a "May The Fourth Be With You" without the need to feel ostracized by mass-society (as if that stopped you anytime, yeh? Good on ya!).
And as well, besides the celebratory nature of the day - it is as well an opportunity for folks with likewise love for SW to feel the fellowship afforded by the event - something that transcends all geography and ideology, and links every kindred spirit within a moment they can literally call their "own". What a swell notion this is indeed - and hope one day sometime soon some happenstance like this can link the art toy crowd together, beyond the commercial aspect of trade-shows like SDCC, NYCC, TTF, STGCC et al.
