'Holy Eye': A Steampunk Perspective Submission from Mike Ink

clavillazo vs el ojo de la luna

From José Miguel López AKA Mike Ink (Sr. Art Director @ Dieste Dallas) comes his illustration-submission for A Steampunk Perspective - along with a celluloid inspiration, and an attached video posted below!
"¡ Ay ojón ! its a way to say: Oh my god!, or Holly crap! in Spanish. The literal translation is: Holy eye! And in this case it was applied by a very known comedy actor in the mid '50s and 60's whenever he was in a near danger. His name was Antonio Espina Mora aka "Clavillazo" and he was part of the golden era of mexican movies at that time.

Here's a link to that movie scene which I love, because is the first time that two mexicans travel to the moon! LOL! and they fight aliens and the big boss: The eye of the moon!"

WHAT: Submitted for A STEAMPUNK PERSPECTIVE #2: ILLUSTRATION Contest [Read Contest Details HERE]. Stay tuned for VOTING details for this submission!
