Archiving TRICK OR TOYS (Oct 27-Nov 3, 2023)
"Initially, the seven of us (me, Abraham Derri, Eric Noah, Rhoizu, Shikka Studio, Mirfak Prabowo, and Sumadinata) were going to release toys with a Halloween theme." shared IKY, for the genesis of the TRICK OR TOYS Event, recently concluded in Bandung, Indonesia. "Then, we decide to make an exhibition. It seems that exhibitions with designer toy theme are rarely appear in Indonesia."

The idea for the exhibition was further developed by inviting other artists to create illustrations responding to randomly selected design characters. These artists consist of various genres, including graffiti artists, comic artists, illustrators with various styles.

Besides the above line-up, they had invited @rudekucluk to create a visual mapping of the response to the mural created by @rhoizu & @shikka.studio, with result viewable here:
The physical exhibition took place at @abrahamandsmith Bandung (a coffee shop and an alternative space) from October 27TH to November 3rd, and we have video and stills to share! Folks involved hope that with this movement, the art toy scene will continue to grow in Bandung, and Indonesia.
