The 4 Stages of Judgment Stage for CE Contest 2 Final Battle & Advice From Previous CE Battle Contestants
We previously revealed the list of Judges in the Judging Panel for the upcoming CE CONTEST 2 FINAL BATTLE in Thailand (happening March 29-31), and the 4 stages in which we will be looking out for. Today, we "reveal" the 4 Parts of the Judgement Stage, that puts the decisions firmly in YOUR hands!
1. Event Audience Vote.
2. Online Vote.
3. PRICING their product themselves, and SELLING them, use the total revenue for ranking the point/s.
4. Custom Product Set.
All stage points will be tallied on the last day, with daily votes tallied everyday at the end of each day! The additional element of the Public Selling might be a tad daunting (no worries there will be translator-teams, I think ;p), but I reckon it will provide folks worldwide a chance to score products from the contestants directly, perhaps? More details on that in time, and stay tuned to TOYSREVIL to see if there are any "changes" :p
To (perhaps) aid the finalists in their upcoming challenge, I spoke to a few contestants from CLEA 2010, and asked them for "advice" to give for this year's participants, and this was what they shared with us:
And from one-half of the Winning Team for the first CE Contest, Thai-designer Pharuephon Mukdasanit aka MAMAFAKA (Interviewed) comes this sage advice:

To (perhaps) aid the finalists in their upcoming challenge, I spoke to a few contestants from CLEA 2010, and asked them for "advice" to give for this year's participants, and this was what they shared with us:
"I would say, get started early and be on time for the judges … Last minute rush is no good …" ~cautioned ZAM (USA / Interviewed)
"More than anything, enjoy (your)selves, work hard and don't be shy! The CE contest was honestly one of the highlights of my life. I was treated like a celebrity and got to meet so many great friends." ~exclaimed Jon-Paul Kaiser (UK / Interviewed)
"Enjoy every single moment of the contest, its truly a unique and amazing experience, make time to meet the other contestants while having lunch and work hard with your team mate and learn to understand his or her working process, its better to take some time to organize a nice plan of work and don't panic if you feel like you are on Project Runway or a reality show, its just the intensity and the amusement of the contest.
Your design should have a unique and cool concept but also the execution should be as impeccable as possible! Details and finishing touches are a must! Try to spend a few more days in the city, Bangkok is unique!!! And don't forget to walk around the whole event and enjoy the fair." ~suggested Patricio Oliver (Argentina / Interviewed)
Igor Ventura from Brazil (Interviewed) shares these with the finalists:
"- Have fun! It's weird to be on the spotlight, creating and painting while there's a lot of people around watching, but just forget about the pressure and have a good time.
- Take a rest every now and then, walk around the fair, get inspired. It does wonders!
- Team up with all the other artists. Even though it's a competition, it sure helps a lot to get involved and help everyone and be helped.
- As far as I know, judges like intricate and detailed designs in the last competition. Could be a good tip to the new contestants...
- If possible, take some days off work after the fair to enjoy Thailand. It's a wonderful country, with countless incredible things to do, and everyone should take the opportunity to have some fun there!"
And from one-half of the Winning Team for the first CE Contest, Thai-designer Pharuephon Mukdasanit aka MAMAFAKA (Interviewed) comes this sage advice:
"We need to make a good friend with (the) partner. After we know each other, we can share ideas and come out with good concepts. This is the key to success."
