A Slice of Huck Gee Toy-History on Ebay
Huck Gee has listed over 30 pieces of his collection on Ebay (this is the third batch / previous batches where of other folks' toys he collected) where most of them are items designed by himself, a select few being actual prototypes of toys that never made it into production! This is a veritable HISTORY to be had of his toy-discography, and a chance to buy apart of his toy-past.
Two separate (pre-loved) items are also listed, with 100% of the sale of both of these will benefit the NAACP Legal Defense and Education fund. Seen above is the original "THANK YOU" BLANK (Signed AP / missing his tail) apart of his official announcement "of his stepping away from being a full time artist/designer in the Designer Toy Scene", while currently being apart of Super Plastic ... while featured below is the 5-inch tall "SAVE HUCK MADL" (2006 / signed AP #20/20) - a serious slice of toy-history for when this item was released by (the now defunct) Wheaty Wheat Studios meant to help raise money for Huck's legal defence when he was facing deportation (Pic below via Vinyl Pulse).
To add to this lil'nostalgia trip down toy-memory lane, featured below is a interview clip of Huck Gee talking about his influences, the story behind Skullhead, and all about the "Save Huck Show" - as part of "The Vinyl Frontier" from 2009 (vinylfrontiermovie.com).
