TOP TOY OF 2025 - #10: Lemon, Donkey and Books
ISSAC TANG: I first came across Atsushi Kaga's work at Art Basel in 2023 or 2024. The artist excels at incorporating the mundane fragments of everyday life and events into his art. This bronze statue is produced by DDT Store, and each object has a special meaning, such as the rabbit that embodies knowledge, overseeing the fragility of the world.

TOP TOY OF 2025 - #9: Human Made x Minor Figures Limited Edition Art Toy
ISSAC TANG: This collaboration toy produced by Unbox Industries not only features a Minor Figures head, but it can also be swapped with the iconic duck head from Human Made. It’s not just an art piece; it's also a lot of fun.

TOP TOY OF 2025 - #8: Punk Drunkers Go Aitsu
ISSAC TANG: This robot produced by Best. Be. Fore retains the signature playfulness of Punk Drunkers, and the attention to detail is impressive. You can open the cockpit of its body and place a mini driver inside.
Additionally, this toy was drawn from a queue and lucky lottery at the Taipei Toy Festival 2025, making it very precious to me.

TOP TOY OF 2025 - #7: Bream man MASK - Snake
ISSAC TANG: Duckhead is an artist I deeply admire. He often holds live sessions where he hand-paints toys, and watching him create is incredibly therapeutic. Every year, he produces a toy based on the zodiac, and I'm eagerly anticipating his 2026 piece for the Year of the Horse.

TOP TOY OF 2025 - #6: Labubu From Wand
ISSAC TANG: This strange yet adorable Labubu was fortunate to be collected during Kasing's The Monster 10th Anniversary Global Tour in Hong Kong. It's a toy produced under the supervision of How2work, and it pairs perfectly with the pressed Labubu from the earlier "Art Toy Story" book for a delightful double collection.
Once again, congratulations to Kasing on the 10th Anniversary exhibition!

TOP TOY OF 2025 - #5: Mini To-Fu Pinocchio Pop
ISSAC TANG: Choosing the top five To-Fu Oyako items has always been a challenge. In 2025, I set a Guinness World Record for having the largest collection of To-Fu Oyako memorabilia, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of To-Fu Oyako, so there are many interesting art pieces. The first item is a work from the exhibition "RE: Start From 30," created in collaboration with Start From Zero. This exhibition, themed around Pinocchio, gave rise to this adorable Mini To-Fu.

TOP TOY OF 2025 - #4: Happy Birthday Mini To-Fu
ISSAC TANG: Perhaps influenced by two seasonal events—one being the Mid-Autumn Festival in late September and the other the birthday of To-Fu Oyako in early October, both of which are closely related to candles—there's a noticeable absence of people in Hong Kong playing with candles. It feels increasingly bleak, creating a stark contrast to the joyful and lively celebrations typically associated with birthdays. These two candle-shaped Mini To-Fus perfectly capture these two contrasting feelings.

ISSAC TANG: This soft toy is handcrafted by Nachu san. Transforming a little pig plush into the shape of a tofu character is quite playful and fun!

TOP TOY OF 2025 - #2: To-Fu Oyako Robot
ISSAC TANG: This set of robots was originally created in 2011, but I only found it in 2025, generously given up by another To-Fu Oyako collector (Wilson). I've loved robots since I was young, and this one incorporates my favorite elements. The open head is made of wood, adding an artistic touch.

TOP TOY OF 2025 - #1: Baby To-Fu
ISSAC TANG: Before the toy was released, I was already captivated by the graphic design of this Baby To-Fu. However, once it became a toy, it exceeded my expectations even more. It’s often challenging for something to surpass your initial expectations, but this simple and adorable little piece surprisingly left me in awe. In 2025, this became my favorite.

TOYSREVIL: How have your collecting habits or focus changed, since you first begun? How did you begin?
ISSAC TANG: In 2025, I achieved a Guinness World Record for having the largest collection of To-Fu Oyako memorabilia. Initially, I collected various traditional Japanese toys like Soul of Chogokin, B-Daman, and Digimon. Around 2014, I was inspired by Winston (instagram.com/winzleong) and began collecting designer and art toys, which also included To-Fu Oyako.
In recent years, my focus has shifted primarily to To-Fu Oyako, though I still enjoy acquiring other toys. Therefore, I would like to set aside my top five toys for To-Fu Oyako!
