What Are "Uncut Trading Card Promo Sheets"?
"Uncut" Trading Card Promo Insert Sheets were used/intended to promote upcoming trading card releases from numerous brands/publishers, showcasing their card-stock, art and treatment, with what I am currently offering were present during the 1990s. Most sizes are 4-UP (5" x 7") or 9-UP (7.5" X 10.5").
These were predominantly to be had at comicbook shops, given out, as well some attached to comicbook and merch catalogs. Comicbooks themselves had singular trading card promos (but that's another story for another time).
There were as well other sizes and formation of cards presentations. Shown below are some samples.
Most show the selected card image on one size, while the reverse side are descriptions for the set and what the set consists of. Some cards - like "Marvel Flair" showcased 2 sides of card-art, printed on heavier/thicker card-stock, to showcase the actual quality of the print and card(s).
Nostalgia is key aspect of collecting these promo sheets, especially with what I am offering from the 90s, making them close to 3 decades old = Instant nostalgia!
The other option is to collect the entire card set, which would require possibly a 9-sleeved sheet, whereas a single promo sheet fits into a sized frame or holder. Awesome hobby either way, I insist!
